I have just completed my first 6 week rotation for grad school. It was quite an interesting experience, as I got a chance to work in a developmental genetics laboratory that focuses on fruit flies. I was primarily working on a project related to microRNA regulation. Throughout the past 6 weeks, grad school has pushed me to experience a full range of emotion: exhaustion, excitement, frustration, happiness, fear, and hope. It's already been quite a journey, and while it has been tough going, I think it has really been worth it so far. Next stop, Ithaca.
